U-Boat Black-Green Dial Chronograph Black Leather Mens Watch 300 Reviews

This U-Boat is a well engineered quartz wristwatch. Over the course of the last four days, the U-Boat has not lost a heartbeat-second. The chronograph sweep feature works but is slightly off the native 12:00 o:/clock/dead zero setting. Later, the chronograph sweep second hand location can be adjusted to 12:00 o:clock/dead zero. My skimming the instructions stead of scanning the directions was the engine for the chronograph sweep second hand being off sentence. Thought the timer/chronograph sweep second hand would be set at 12:00 o:clock/dead zero as a default in this watch. I did adjust the chronograph sweep second hand to the 12:00 o:clock position known as dead zero. Tested it a few times. And it returned to the 12:00 clock position/dead zero. Why it was set at the factory at location 57/58 seconds is a mystery.Battery replacement? Careless employee at the factory, etc.Previous owner? There can be no doubt that this watch is authentic. The styling is completely different from other luxury watches with the crown mechanism on the left stead of the right side. This ensures against watch piracy. Plus, the crown if on the right side of the wrist does dig into the back of one's hand. I had a U-Boat like watch with the crown on the right of the watch. It did dig into the back of the hand/wrist. Did not want a calendar function because it is always problematic. Even when it is not, the calendars on wristwatches are hard to read even with a huge U-Boat face. The face of the watch is huge making for an easy read with seniors. The surface of the face is really wide, so one gets a lot of bang for the buck.It looks cool. It is laid back conspicuous consumption. The dial is not as luminous as the dealer stated. It can be seen in the dark to some extent but not in total darkness. This ain't no WestClock glow in the dark wristwatch even though it should be for the hefty price tag.The hands are the least luminous. For an unknown reason or reasons the luminescence of the numerals and markers for the hours do not glow at all at times. Never heard of such a thing.Just tested it again. It failed to glow. Yesterday it glowed famously at the markers for the hours but the hands were faint and only glowed at the tip of the hands. Body heat? Poorly made? Energy efficient light bulbs? All could be a culprit in the lack of luminescence. Your mother and father's bedside alarm clock that they wound up really glowed in the dark for less than ten bucks. U-Boat should have made glow in the dark numerals and hands like WestClock. The hands should have used arrows at the end to point to the exact time. Used the seconds as my proof of a superior movement engine. The price was knocked down. This U-Boat is cheap for a true luxury watch. It has two bands. Natively it comes with a metal clasp and a traditional pin in slot band. Had a dealer open the clasp because I did not want to break the watch. Took it to a jeweler because nothing is made right nowadays. He opened it quickly. This is an awesome winter holiday gift for a man. The price is dynamite. Now the price is much higher then a week or so ago. Am overlooking the mistake in luminescence (Spell Checker) because it keeps damn near perfect time. Am going to try to find a rational explanation for the mercurial luminescence. The price is under a grand retail. Amazon rocks. Now the price is about 40% higher. Comes in a case like a trunk with guarantee and instructions but no instructions for the clasp band. Later, a few days, out with my four legged companion I noticed the hands were differently colored from the hour indicators. I am to some degree colored blind. It is not as severe in sunlight. Sunlight really brings out the true colors of everything. Am comparing another model of the watch to see if this is a fluke or the way the watch was made. It is very rare for a wristwatch to have differently colored hands and numerals. Amazon has a history of describing things in accurately or the description changes. In sunlight the numerals are in green and the hands appear to be silver. I do not want an irregular U-Boat. It is almost a full week since I got this wristwatch and it still has not lost a second. It keeps damn near perfect time over the long haul. This U-Boat 300 is a like an atomic clock on one's wrist. This U-Boat is the most accurate watch I have ever seen. History is bunk.. this is my U-Boat Black-Green Dial Chronograph Black Leather Mens Watch 300 reviews
