I'm very happy with this purchase. I've always liked the ruggedness of G-Shocks, but wanted something that was a little less plastic and rubber. I also prefer analog watches for daily wear and really dig the aggressive styling of this particular model. The watch face is pretty big....significantly bigger than my Tag Heuer Link Chrono. The case is tall enough that a long sleeve shirt will generally not naturally slip over the watch. But if you're considering a G-Shock, you're not looking at a slim profile watch anyway. The controls have a small learning curve, once you figure out the the 'C/bottom left' button cycles through the modes, it's fairly intuitive. But I did have to review the instructions a few times to memorize how to use all the functions. The watch itself is not as heavy as it appears...which makes it very comfortable to wear. The build quality is perfect. The sweep hands hit the center of the minute marks precisely, the crown unlocks and locks perfectly and the clasp is very secure. The only negative I have is the luminescent hands are not bright enough to be visible in low light. In total darkness, the faint glow is visible...but in low light, its impossible to tell the time. Perhaps this will improve if I 'charge' up the watch in sunlight...we'll see.. this is my Casio Men's GWA1000D-1A G-Aviation G-Shock Watch reviews
